Table For Two

Do you have a cozy spot on your porch or patio?  Maybe you have a cozy spot in your back yard garden.

Those places are wonderful to create a spot for sharing morning coffee, lunch or evening cocktails and intimate conversation.

Today I picked some lilies and daisies from the garden and placed them in a vintage yellow vase.  It made the perfect centerpiece for our lunch on the porch.

I made grilled chicken and avocado sandwiches with fresh garden lettuce on whole grain bread and homemade lemonade.

It is still a little too cool for morning coffee on the front porch, but it is perfect at lunch time.  The porch stays shaded until mid afternoon.

This is the summer view from my front porch.

Peek-a-boo view of the small lake across the street.

Distant Blue Ridge Mountains.

I think this table for two will be getting a lot of use this summer.

Have you found a cozy outdoor dining spot for two at your home?

I think your cozy spot is perfect! We've got several spots in our backyard for doing exactly what you've mentioned. If I can find a minute or two I've got lots of new things to post about. But, I've been tweaking my yard and making it a cozy space for outdoor living. Your views are to die for!

What a gorgeous, gorgeous setting, Penny. I have not seen the Blue Ridge Mts. in person in several years. They are as gorgeous as I remember- xo Diana

You have such a fabulous view there! I know it must be green and beautiful in the mountains by now. The first time I met you...you and your hubby were enjoying lunch on your front porch. Do you remember that? Enjoy your week! Hugs, Diane

The flowers are so pretty and such a lovely setting to enjoy your lunch. I have a small bistro table on my breezeway and had breakfast there while the rain fell all around me.

Such a lovely spot, Penny! I do have a little table for two outside our front door. We are looking to put a patio in off to the side of the front door and will be able to give it some privacy. I've sat out there in the morning with my coffee {in my pajamas} as it is very quiet in our condo community, but I'd love to have a little more room with the patio.

Hi Penny, I'm crazy for that shade of golden yellow, it makes for such a pretty table! We had a table for 2 on the porch of our old house and I miss it. I know how much you will enjoy yours this summer!

Penny, everything looks so inviting. You always make everything look lovely. Love the sandwich, now I am hungry.

Ned and I took a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway and drove through the Blue Ridge Mountains for a stretch. I got some fabulous photos. We haven't made it as far as Asheville yet, but it's on our list of places to visit.

You were right I am finding wonderful places to drive to and explore.

Your table is so pretty all set in sunny yellow! Our favorite spot is out beside the garden, tucked behind the shed and screened by a picket fence on one side and lush honeysuckle and lilac shrubs on the other. It's our special place to relax with coffee or dinner in the summer.

see you there! said...

What a wonderful spot for lunch. I do enjoy the chance to have a meal outdoors.

I love your cozy, little spot. We have plans to add a small patio just outside the new, big doors we added to our master bedroom. I can visualize a little table-for-two - a cozy place. Thank you for inspiring me again.
