For the longest time, I have loved crocks. They look great in American farm houses, rustic homes, American country homes etc. In fact, I have almost purchased one or two several times over the last few years, but walked on by.
In September, the newest yearly Country French Magazine was at the newsstand. I have picked their yearly issues up and saved them since they started several years ago.
The have been a great source of decorating inspiration for me over the years. Remember my Country French Fireplace redo in my last home? You can see it here.
Guess what is featured in several of the homes in the current issue? A crock... see it on the table below?
Another on a kitchen island.
Tucked on a shelf below a sofa table.
Two on a dining table.
So a few weeks ago, my friend Penny from Lake Lure Cottage Kitchen and I went antiquing. I was on the look out for crocks, a sconce and a silver champagne bucket.
I didn't find the sconce or silver champagne bucket, but I did find the perfect crock!
I love it! I am going to be on the look out for a couple of more in different styles and shapes.
Isn't it fun to find a treasure?
