Happy Monday!
I am going to be busy this week. All of the fabrics in the picture below are choices I have made for drapes in the house.
The drapes I am making this week are the dining curtains, from one of the choices above.
The other big project going on this week is turning a closet in the den into a mini office. Currently my computer is in the sun room. I thought that was where my office was going to be. Turns out there is TOO MUCH SUN in the sun room. Even with the blinds closed the sun glares on the computer screen, making it hard to see.
This is what the closet looked like the day we moved in.
See it there behind the boxes and red chair? The top was cheap louver doors and the bottom was two solid doors. The previous owners used it for a small TV.
Here is how it looks this morning.
When I painted the room, I never painted the closet, because we had to remove shelves and shelve brackets that were nailed in. So today I am painting and this week, Mr. Comforts will install a table top and some book shelves.
I will show you the curtains and mini office as they get finished.
So, what are you doing this week?

Hi Penny,
What beautiful fabric. The colors are stunning. I can't wait to see what you choose. And the closet is a perfect place for a small home office.
I have been thinking of moving my office into the guest room. Gary has pretty much taken over the room we share LOL...he has so much junk, I mean stuff in there.
I am sewing too this week.
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth
Love your fabric choices, can't wait to see the finished drapes! Great solution turning that closet into your computer space!
Great fabrics and the closet idea will be perfect.
Lovely fabrics! And I've always loved the idea of turning a little closet into an office space. I wish had enough closets to try it. lol I can't wait to see how it turns out and your drapes.
Your fabric choices are wonderful, Penny...and I can hardly wait to see what you create with them. This is such fun to watch the transformation happen right before our eyes!
Hi Penny! Your fabrics are so pretty! I love everyone of them. That's a great idea too about making the closet in to a little puter room. Your ideas are always the best and I love seeing how you put everything together.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I spy bosporus. I am loving it in this new house and you will too. I worried that it had been around so long but my goodness, there's so much you can do with it. Love all your choices.
Your office closet will be wonderful I'm sure.
Ooo I can't wait to see!!! love all the fabrics hard choices...
I am watching the jodi arias trial still... LOL..
Your fabric choices are lovely. I'm enjoying seeing your house take on the look you want it to have.
This week, I'm sewing drapes, too. For our bedroom.
What a great idea to use the closet for your computer.
I just love the fabrics you have chosen for curtains! And the wall color is so pretty...I look forward to seeing the closet space when you are done!

Sue
Gorgeous! I see a beautiful toile in there and I love the blue and white. I'm home today, (my day off) and working on some sewing. Earl and I went our for coffee this morning and started dreaming a dream:>)
This is going to be a great office niche, Penny. Better than my kitchen table! lol! I love your fabrics, too. I can't wait to see all of the curtains hung. You, too, I bet!
XO,
Jane
This is going to be perfect. Can't wait to see it all done. Hugs, Marty
Love your fabric choices, Penny! I look forward to seeing them as window treatments in your home. I'm sure your closet office will look wonderful. We get quite a bit of sun in our sunroom, too, and sometimes I can't sit in there with my laptop because of it.
I am also in the process of making a closet into something special - a craft/sewing closet. Love your fabrics.
Penny, you're a powerhouse and you make me feel so unproductive. I was thinking of cleaning a drawer. ☺
You are such a busy lady! I admire your energy for getting all these projects done in your new home.
Your fabrics are breathtakingly beautiful! Can't wait to see them on your windows. I'm anxious to see your office in a closet. I have a sewing area in a wide closet and I've debated about turning it into an office in a closet. I've studied many online with the idea of switching my office and sewing room. Can't wait to see yours.

That's a great idea to make a closet into a workspace! I can't wait to see how it turns out. Love the material you've chosen for your draperies too.
Oh darn Penny, I just wrote a comment and it didn't publish. I'll try again.
I love your fabrics so much. The closet looks small but if your desk can fit in there it will be a great place to set up your computer. I use a laptop only, so where I go is computer central for me.
Wishing you happy days decorating.
Love, Jeanne
PS: I'm glad you enjoyed my post. amazing huh? This place is in GA and a possible day trip for us. I would love to go there.
Looks like you have your work cut out for you. What pretty fabrics. My computer is in our sunroom and I know what you mean about the glare. I don't have a spare closet but one of these days I'm going to have to find a solution.

Love your idea!! Looking forward to seeing the finished result. Popped over to say hello too! Karen :)
Great fabrics choices Penny - can hear that sewing machine in our lovely mountains cranking out beautiful draperies right now!
What a cute mini office that will be when you two get done with it - I love how you manage to 'make a silk purse from a sow's ear'!!
Raining again here - chilly and miserable - just like me as I continue to fight the wretched head cold which has me in its grip!
Any ideas on a light, bright warm grey paint - doing a reno in the guest bath (well actually its the one I use upstairs) next week? Any help appreciated dear.
Hugs - Mary
My son did this to one of their closets, and it was a great solutions.
Can't wait to see the new window treatments.
Your fabric choices are stunning but I'm not surprised. Your taste is classic and wonderful. Can't wait to see the windows all dressed up!
