Some Inside Shots

While I am waiting for the appraisal on the house, I thought I would show you some inside pictures.

Keep in mind that this house was "staged".  No one has lived in it for two years.

The foyer.  I love it because it is wide and very bright with the dormer window and all of the sidelights on the door.

If you remember my last house - it had a den to the left and a dining room to the right off of the foyer.

This house is very similar, except the den is to the right (picture of den below)...see the doorway on the right in the picture below?  That is a sun room and will be my office.  I will show you more of it a few pictures down.

Here is another shot of the den at a little different angle.  It has two entries.  One from the foyer and one from the hallway that leads to the guest bedroom.

Here are a few shots of the sun room, that will be my office.

The view from "my office" window.

The dining room is to the left when you walk in the door.

This is the view of the dining room from the hallway off of the kitchen.

Looking at the living room, from the foyer.  The French doors lead to the back patio.

A shot at the living room, standing in the kitchen.

Another shot of the living room, standing next to the fireplace.

The kitchen, looking towards the eat-in area of the kitchen.  Remember in this post, how I told you that I would like to make that area of a kitchen, more of a lounge area. I think this is a perfect spot for that.

Another set of French doors, off the "lounge" area.

The other end of the kitchen.

The guest room.

The bonus room upstairs.  This room has two dormers.

It will be Mr. Comforts office.  He is an engineer and works out of our home.

And finally, the master bedroom.

Once we close on the house and start house whispering, I will show you more photos.  If all goes well, we are suppose to close near the end of November.

Welcome Home,
Penny

Hi Penny,
I love the floor plan and how bright and airy it is also the house looks so "clean" Almost every house we have bought has been in need of a good cleaning. What some people call clean is always so surprising to me.
I bet the end of Nov. can't come soon enough for you. Your mind must be spinning with ideas how you are going to decorate. I can't wait to see what you do.
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth

Oh, it is nice and bright. I hate a dark closed up house. I know it will be fabulous when you whisperers get a hold of it.

Lovely... I'm trying to imagine how you'll change things up with colors and so forth. It's going to be fun. Does this mean that you'll be moving in before Christmas? I hope!

Thanks for the tour. I love the color of the guest bedroom. I'll bet it is hard waiting until the end of November. Do you spend hours dreaming of how your furniture is going to fit and be arranged?

What a lovely home! I looked at your pics last night, but I had to look at them again today. I realized I was too tired to follow and visualize the layout. This morning, it's absolutely clear.
And last night (being tired), the thought of moving stressed me out. But this morning, much different, I see a clean slate for decorating, and a fresh start and fresh, pretty and fun!
Will follow along with you, but probably best to be rested before I read a new post.
I think I need a lie-down.

Haven't been by for a while and when I do I see a gorgeous HUGE house you're buying, sugar!! WOW! But what in the world would possess you to buy a big house to keep clean when you're nearing retirement age? Love Bunny and I bought an 1800 s.f. house and it's enough to keep me busy. I don't know how you can do it. But it is very nice and pretty.

Connie

Oh, I was hoping that there would be more photos. I love it! That living room really looks like the two of you, and I love that dormer. Can't wait to see what you two do with this one. That view from your office window...something tells me there might be some French charm awaiting that garden. Fingers crossed that everything turns out wonderful.
