Where I Blog From Now

I thought you might like to see where I am blogging from in the house we are renting.

I put the sofa table we had in our great room at our other house into the guest bedroom.

When guests come to visit, I will move my computer into my bedroom and place a small flat screen TV on the sofa table, so my guests will have a place to relax in the evening.  The TV sits in the guest room closet right now.

I have been having a lot of fun this past week!  I drove to Greenville to have lunch and go antiquing with Gretchen of Bird Nest Cottage. She has the coziest home.  She greeted me with a welcome sign in her kitchen.

Here is Gretchen in her home.

And here we are sitting on a lovely French sofa in a store in Greenville, SC called Postcards from Paris.

I met another blog friend for lunch yesterday at the Bistro in Biltmore Estate.  Jeanne from Backyard Neighbor came into town to see the flower gardens at the Biltmore Estate and to pick up a mosaic kit from me.

We had a wonderful lunch and had a great time catching up.

You remember, that earlier this week I also had lunch and went shopping with Penny from Lake Lure Cottage Kitchen.

Next week I am meeting Jeanne from Perfect Imperfections, while she is visiting in the area!

Are any of you coming to the Asheville area anytime soon?  Let me know and we can meet for lunch and if you have time I can take you to my favorite antique stores!
Welcome Home,
Penny

  14. It sounds like you bloggers are a tight little community (not so little--really!) Here's the funny thing...I went into Postcards from Paris same afternoon you did, spoke to the manager (lovely girl behind the desk)who wanted to take our pic (hubby's and mine) but I demurred since we weren't exactly photo-pic-ready. She told me it was a day for visits by bloggers in that you'd just been in (store's lovely, by the way.) In any case, I'm Biddy Bytes, a blogger from Asheville and Rhode Island, who would love to meet up with you some time...Please visit me at my blog and see what I'm about. We are obviously treading the same path--at almost the same time.

  19. Having a versatile room to use is such a boon. We are full to the rafters here in the cottage, since Earl has taken over the office for his work (Which I have NO problem with!)I have moved a desk into an alcove in the living room along with my computer. Time to do some severe sorting and tossing so I can use the space I have more efficiently!

  20. Your new computer spot looks great, I love all the natural light in that room.

You sure have met a lot of bloggers and always go such great places. BTW, I too noticed and like your hair.

  29. Hi Penny, Blogger just lost my comment. Sigh. Here I go again.

We had a wonderful time on Saturday in spite of the rain. Thank you for your anniversary wishes. We sure had a lovely celebration on our 49 years together.

It is so nice to meet blogging friends and your post is lovely of Gretchen's home. It is constantly amazing to me when blogging connects us to such wonderful people. I love that about blogging.

I am still trying to respond to the many good wishes on our anniversary post. If I wasn't so long winded I could accomplish this faster. HA!

    Wishing you sunny days.
    xo, Jeanne

  30. Oh, I wish I was coming to your area! I'd love to visit and spend some time with you. Maybe someday! I loved seeing where you blog - great idea to be in your guestroom and then replace the computer with a TV for your guests. May have to 'borrow' your idea!
