French Pastoral Painting

The other day I showed a sneak peek of a painting I bought.  The painting is framed now and hanging in my bedroom.

I get to see it every morning when I open my eyes.

So while we are in my bedroom, I thought I would show you the other side of the room.

I am still using my yellow and red toile bedding (but not the curtains I made - there are no curtain rods here).  Though the yellow and red really do not go with the sage green walls, I don't want to spend money on new bedding that would go better with the color because we are only going to be here a year.  I might get a neutral comforter that will match anything down the road.  We will see.

Here is a close up of the painting.

I love that it has cows, a pond and thatched roof houses.  I have wanted a pastoral French landscape painting for a long time.  I love it to pieces!
Welcome Home,
Penny

Love the yellow and red toile. Always a great combination. Maybe it would be easier to paint rather than replace expensive bedding if they will let you.

Happy weekend.

I love your new painting! I'm so enthralled with the changes you and Mr. Comforts have made - renting and waiting a year for your 'forever' home is incredible. I can't wait to hear more. When the time comes. Until then I'll just enjoy the pleasure of your 'new' home now.

What a beautiful painting. I love the way it looks in your bedroom. You have a great eye for design and artwork. A good friend of mine is like you and she is now a curator at the San Francisco Art Museum.

Well, have a beautiful weekend Penny.

Pastoral paintings are always wonderful, so calming and with great details of fields and animals... I think I have just talked myself into looking for one for our home. Oh, and the yellow toile bed coverlet is fabulous!!

Penny, the painting is so lovely. I love the pastoral scene. Where we live the road to our home has lots of cows. We love the cows and the darling calves.

Your choice of frames is perfect. Your room is a good size and I know you will be comfortable there. It doesn't matter if everything matches. You are renting. What a nice relief from decorating over much for a change. Relax and enjoy.

Hugs, Jeanne
