I was shocked to hear today that he had died. Always watched American Bandstand every Saturday.
I was so sorry to hear of his passing today...oh, I remember Saturday afternoons rushing to get chores done so my mom would let me watch Bandstand!! End of an era for sure!!
Hi, Penny, and I'm very saddened to hear this too! I so loved watching American Bandstand as I was growing up.Thaks for popping in to see me.be a sweetie,Shelia ;)
The sad news of the day... How fondly we, of a certain generation, remember American Bandstand and then all the Pyramid shows and Bloopers and New Year's Eve. I really enjoyed his male version of The View, which I can't seem to remember the name of. Thank you for this tribute, Penny.
Isn't it sad? I grew up watching American Bandstand after school each day. Wow, I'm really dating myself but it was a great show with great artists.Gretchen
Such a legend and so much a part of most of America's teen years and our at home new year moments. New music and dance has joined my good friend Dino upstairs.
I loved to watch American Bandstand! For a teen from Canada it was the epitome of 'cool' and Dick Clark was so handsome!
Truly a sad day.
So many memories, these sad losses of good people and grand times always hit hard............our memories of youth are precious. Dick Clark was such a trouper and New Year's Eve will never be as exciting without him!Nice you found this video - thanks for sharing.Mary X
God rest his soul. He really struggled valiantly since his stroke.
