Let The Decorating Begin!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

When do you start your Christmas decorating?  We start the day after Thanksgiving.  I have never been one to go out on Black Friday, so that is when we start decorating the tree.
A few years ago, I found this pretty mailbox ornament.  I love that is says, Welcome Home, on it.  That is how I usually sign all of my blog posts!
Welcome Home,
Penny

I was hoping to start today, but Bailey is sick and I have had little sleep the last three nights. First stressing over Thanksgiving and then Bailey started getting sick at 5 this morning. I love your little mailbox ornament. Can't wait to see your decorations.

Hi Penny! I'm like you, I have no desire to get out on Black Friday. Someone on the news called it Green Friday! ;) That is a darling little ornament and your header is so pretty and festive. I've been trying to get my decorating done. I can't seem to get my boxes empties! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Penny all those crowds I avoid as well.Yes I have begun my simple decorating for the Christmas season..as you know we hibernate in Arizona shortly after so I keep decorating very simple. Less to clean up.

No, I am not ready yet...thanksgiving took it all out of me. I hope to get in the spirit this coming week. Love the mailbox with your signature line!

I started on line, and that is the way to go. The older my boys get the easier, because they don't want as much as they did when they were younger. Love your little ornament.

Perfect ornament. Can't wait to see it all done. I still have to have DH get the boxes out of the attic. Maybe tomorrow. Have fun decorating. Hugs, Marty

I started putting my fall decos away today and getting out a few Christmas ones. Will put the tree up tomorrow...and all the beautiful, cheery stockings will be ♥hung by the chimney with care♥.

I actually started the outside of my house today. I'm almost finished. It takes forever, it seems. We're supposed to get rain, so I decided to start the outside today. I can do the inside any day. It's always fun to unpack your ornaments and let the memories flood back in, isn't it? Looking forward to seeing your home all decked out!

I was hoping to start today, but first we lost our power...our whole block did, for about 3 hours. No reason that I heard of. So I did the next logical thing and took a nap! The the hubs claimed that if we bought our tree this weekend, it would be dead by Christmas and I had to agree. SO tomorrow I promise myself to put the fall things away and start bringing up boxes. I guess I can decorate around the tree.

I love your Welcome Home ornament...it's precious. And I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am still stuffed!

XO,
Jane

Normally I would begin decorating for Christmas this weekend, but we are preparing to move in a couple weeks so it'll have to wait. Might only get the tree up this year....we'll see.

We start ours much later, usually no earlier than two weeks before the event!

Hey Penny, It's so pretty and colorful over here. I started my decorating on Saturday and finished up the front porch, lamp post and Cedar Hill post today. I actually did go out on Black Friday but not to the usual shopping places and encountered no crowds at all. Easy Peasy. :)

Hi Penny, We try to decorate after Thanksgiving too but since we are in Florida and won't be home until tomorrow out decorating will begin a bit late. Actually we already set up out trees and my pink one is done in my bedroom. I never shop on Black Friday. Too many people.

Your tree is looking so pretty. I like your 'Welcome Home' ornament. the perfect Penny ornament. Smile!

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
We sure did but I can't wait to get home tomorrow.

Hugs, Jeanne
