Postcards From Paris

I went shopping with my friend the other Penny from Lake Lure Cottage Kitchen.  We drove to Greenville, SC about an hour from home.  First we went to a couple of antique malls.  Then Penny mentioned a store she thought I would like in downtown Greenville, SC.

Postcard from Paris is a wonderful store filled with antiques from France as well as an interior design store.  The lovely lady working on the main level of the store was kind enough to take a picture of Penny and me sitting on a lovely French settee.

I wanted to take every thing home from this store.  Here are some pictures I took, so you can see what I mean.

It is a wonderful store.  If you are ever in the Greenville, SC area and love French furnishings, stop in!

Penny and I went to a few other antique stores and I bought a french style chair and footstool that I need to paint and recover.  Blog post coming soon on those pieces.
Welcome Home,
Penny

Oh my! I just love that store you went in. I'd want to buy everything I saw too! So many beautiful french furnishings. It's always fun to go shopping with friends looking at things you both love. Can't wait to see your new chair.

It must have been hard to tear yourself away from there. I would have had to see (up close) every last thing.

Penny, what fun and that store looks divine. Next time you go to Greenville let me know. I think I am an hour from there, too.
It is so windy and cold here. If it is windy in Asheville there may be no leaves left to see!

Love this store too (and the name). I live about 15 minutes from downtown Greenville, the city sure has grown since I moved here in '94. Glad you enjoyed yourself here.

oooh, oooh, I want to go there. I love French furnishings. There used to be an amazing French Antique shop in Peterborough New Hampshire called The Red Chair. She has moved to Hudson, New York and I miss her dearly. She is the person that sold me that amazing French Script ephemera from 1608 which I used to design all of my French Script fabric.

Have a beautiful weekend.

Good morning Penny, I am finally getting back to normal around here. What a week we had in Asheville. I drove that round trip 6 times. Two days were to the airport and I love being with my blogging friends so much. What's a 1000 plus miles huh???

It is so nice that you met Penny and had a fun day of shopping. That's what we girls like. The store is wonderful and I know you loved that French look. So do I. I am looking forward to your makeover on your chair and foot stool.
Have a wonderful weekend.
xo, Jeanne

What a great day spent with a friend. We have been to Greenville, but never this store. We are about 2 1/2 hours away, and really enjoy that area. I will definitely go next time. Thanks for sharing, they have some great looking stuff.
