A Thrifty Time

This past Monday Diane from Lavender Dreams and I went thrifting! We had such a wonderful time. We live in the same town and have met through our blogs. Diane brought me to a few thrift stores I didn't even know about! Click on the pictures to enlarge for detail.
Here is Diane in the picture above. See that birdcage behind her? She is going to do something wonderful with it and I can't wait to see it when it is done and placed in the perfect spot in her home.
Here is a shot of part of the first store we went to. I LOVED the huge worn table in the front of this picture. I could just see it in the middle of my dream French Country kitchen.

This is what I purchased at the store. A big pile of vintage blue willow dishes. The smaller ones were $1 each and the larger dinner plates were $2 each. You know I will be making something special with these at Lavender Hill Studio!

I wanted to thank everyone for your participation in the poll. I enjoyed listening to your comments about what you like to read about on my blog too. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

P.S. I have a new post up on the Home Goods Blog. Please stop by there and leave a comment too, if you have time. Thanks!
Welcome Home,
Penny

Oh good heavens! You're the "Penny" that Lavender Dreamer's been pushing around! ROFL!

What a good price on those dishes. This just further proves what I've learned about our local flea market...overpriced! No plate is priced lower than $12. Ridiculous!

OH, Isn't that table amazing?! I've always wanted one of those old, worn, heavy wood tables. It'd be so lovely out in the yard covered with flowers and watering cans. But then, it would get ruined and waste such a lovely table. Maybe I can talk hubby into believing that we NEED a table like that - lol!

Hope you have been well lately. I've visited over at Home Goods a couple of times. We've been busy launching our new site but I hope to get around to visit everyone again soon. Blessings... Polly

Hi Penny, I'm sure the plates will be even more beautiful than they are now once you throw your talent and creativity at them.

What a fun day. The store looks like my kind of hang out.
