A Little More Country French, A Little More Tuscan

Our supply of drinking glasses, were slowly shrinking. We were down to just a few and they were getting that cloudy etched look from one too many times in the dishwasher. So the other day I was wandering around Pier 1 and found these. Click on the pictures to enlarge for detail.
ROOSTER glasses! Aren't they great? They are just perfect in my country French/Tuscan home.

And speaking of Tuscan, look at this wonderful petite painting I purchased from Jen at Sanctuary Arts at Home.

Look at the wonderful quote she painted on the back. It is perfect for me, living in the mountains.

She included these pretty pomegranate note cards too.

Jen has a lot of really cute petite paintings for sale at her ETSY site. And they are at such a great price too!

Welcome Home,

Penny

Those drinking glasses seem perfect for your home. We have hard water and I have used a product called LemiShine that keeps the glasses nice and sparkly; not all cloudy. It is a powder that you add in with your regular dishwasher soap or use full strength, depending on your dishes. I'm saying all this in case your new ones start to cloud up on you :-)

Those rooster glasses were a great find! I'll need to check out Pier 1 as my drinking glass supply is dwindling as well. (The hubby has broke 3 of them just in the past couple months! Ugh!) The painting was very nice too - I always enjoy looking at landscapes.

Great find on the rooster glasses! They are simple and sweet. The painting is gorgeous! I just purchased my first chicken/rooster themed item. I will be getting it soon. Tea towels! I'll post them when I get them. Now I need an actual rooster..well not a real one but a display one. :) Although I must admit I did have 3 chickens as pets when I was younger. Miss those 3 little guys, Huey, Duey and Luey. :)

I can't believe those cute rooster glasses came from Pier One! I need to go in there more often. I don't think I've ever seen rooster stuff in there. That is a beautiful painting. I'm going to see what other things she has.

Penny,
Those rooster glasses were made for you. I love these little paintings, I stopped by her shop. I love it when people paint the countryside in Provence. I friend of mine is from Provence, now she lives in Pennsylvania. I asked her once how she could have left heaven.

Think I'll pay a visit to Pier 1 too...thanks for the tip. Love the painting too! Jen is so talented and I am sure your new artwork looks wonderful in your beautiful home. ~ xoxo Joy

Penny...love your petite painting! My everyday glasses came from Williams Sonoma and they are beginning to look at bit rough, too...many years of use. They are near 'bout indestructable. I may just have to give them away so I can go shopping at Pier 1...I love yours!
Thanks for the tip about Country Living...I want one of those machines so badly! :-) Think of all the gifts...folks would be getting monogrammed towels and napkins from me from here to eternity! LOL
